John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people with his songs. Many of these are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and settled in Aspen. Denver's famous songs about his home state encouraged many to move to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said it was because John Denver is the only performer to embody Colorado. Denver was one of the very initial Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Today he personifies the state across the globe. Certainly in my travels you meet someone from the opposite end of the planet, someone of New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes they say is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was among Denver's top 10 solo hit after appearing with small folk bands. It was written, co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the tune to imitate the style of Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear the song's early versions and was aware that it would become a top 10 pop hit. Danoff recorded the track in just a few weeks when he performed it in front of an enthusiastic audience who were in Washington D.C.
